Technical Writer / Document Controller
We're partnering with a leading beverage manufacturer to secure a
Technical Writer
/
document controller
who can hit the ground running and bring structure, clarity, and efficiency to critical batch documentation.
This is a high-impact, short-term assignment where you'll play a key role in improving how production records are written, used, and maintained on site.
The Opportunity
You'll join a busy manufacturing environment that has recently introduced Good Documentation Practice (ALCOA+).
While the foundations are in place, documentation requires refinement—batch records need to be clearer, more consistent, and easier for teams to use in real time.
What You'll Be Doing
Reviewing and rewriting batch documentation and standard operating procedures to improve usability and compliance
Eliminating inefficiencies such as gaps, cross-outs, and unclear instructions
Designing cleaner, more structured forms and records
Supporting improvements to documentation systems, including Excel-based data integration with master specifications
Working closely with production and quality teams to ensure documents are practical and fit-for-purpose
What We're Looking For
Proven technical writing experience within FMCG, food, or beverage manufacturing (beverage highly advantageous)
Strong understanding of Good Documentation Practice / GMP standards
Confident Excel user, capable of working with structured data and supporting system improvements
A proactive contractor who can quickly assess, prioritise, and deliver improvements in a fast-paced environment
The Details
Temporary assignment expected to run for 3-4 months
Immediate start
Hours: 8-hour days with flexible start times (early starts available)
Training and onboarding support provided
