About the company
This business is well thought of cross New Zealand and provides vital services to all who benefit from membership. They have a wide range of business critical systems, websites, mobile applications etc. and are looking for an experienced Technical (Applications) Architect to join the organisation and provide solution and software architecture expertise focusing on core processing systems.
The role
In this role you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining Application Architecture policies, standards, blueprints patterns, reference architectures and data models; ensuring the integrity of Application Architecture and consulting with various IT delivery teams on Solution and alignment with IT strategy.
Skills / experience:
Previous commercial experience working in a technical design and/or solution architecture based role.
Previous “hands on” experience working in a .NET environment.
Strong understanding of Cloud based technologies including Azure, AWS and/or GCP.
Development experience with a variety of databases, including Oracle and SQL Server.
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), REST APIs, Event Driven architecture
Strong knowledge of integration architectures for IOT, Mobile, SaaS / Cloud (AWS, Google, Azure), Partner ecosystems, AI enabled channels such as Chatbot, API led integration.
Any experience with AI and/or Machine learning would be advantageous.
Experience in the design and implementation of API (Web Services, REST, Hypermedia, Event Driven).
Proven systems analysis experience, in particular with core transactional systems.
Experience in working in financial, banking and/or insurance domain would be preferred.
Proven experience working within a large, highly agile multidisciplinary development team.
Strong consultative approach and behaviour necessary.
Polished communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
