Waimea Nurseries is one of New Zealand’s largest nurseries, growing fruit trees for orchardists, and fruit, ornamental and berry plants for garden retailers. Established in 1971, the nursery now covers over 100 hectares with a mix of field and container tree production. The main nursery site is located 10 minutes from Richmond on the Waimea Plains and offers a fabulous work culture with the ability to grow and develop in the business.
Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, our Team Leaders take a hands-on role leading our production teams in various tasks throughout the year, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on time and to the required standard. Enthusiasm, fantastic people skills and a down to earth nature are essential for this role along with the ability to train others to ensure they reach their maximum potential!
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a leadership position, a love of working outdoors and be able to take pride in seeing real, tangible results in their work. Applicants may have a horticulture or agricultural background, but what’s more important is your exceptional leadership skills! Full training will be provided to the right candidate.

• Hold a current, full NZ driver’s license
