At Tauranga City Council we have a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader for our Property division.
Our Property team specializes in delivering a professional and cost effective management service for all of the council owned property portfolio and externally leased properties which consists of; all council owned land, Reserves, Community Facilities, Elder Housing, Civic Buildings, Car parking and Marine facilities. This team also manages a diverse range of activities such as Licenses to Occupy, grazing licenses and residential and commercial leases.
The role of Team Leader is a key leadership role within the Property department managing a team of Property Specialists. This is a position where your previous people management skills will be well utilised, providing development for your team through setting clear and consistent standards, coaching and empowering others and being an effective and motivating leader whist achieving a high level of productivity, morale and team work!
The role will involve effectively leading and managing the team on a daily basis, having full knowledge and understanding of the strategic matters with various portfolios, making recommendations, changes. Establishing effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders is key to this position and a big part of it. As is, ensuring property management activities through the property specialists are delivered, budgets are managed and a top notch customer service is delivered at every touch point.
We are looking for someone who has strong people leadership skills with proven Team Leader/ Manager experience. You will be a stand out communicator both written and verbal, enjoy energizing a team and lead by example with a positive and forward thinking approach. Ideally you will have industry experience and understand how community groups operate.
This position is full of challenges and diversity with the range of portfolios and customer groups and is an opportunity to be directly involved in building the city and community of Tauranga.
A current full drivers license is required for this position.
