Service Foods is looking for an experienced and proactive TeamLeader - Prepared Produce to support the Operations Leader - Produce in theday-to-day running of our Christchurch branch.

Location:Cumnor Terrace, Woolston, Christchurch
EmploymentType: Permanent, Full-Time
StartDate: Immediate
WorkingDays: Sunday to Friday
WorkingHours: Between 8:00am and 4:30pm (hours may vary based on operationalrequirements)
As part of our produce operations team, you'll help lead thepreparation, processing, and packing of fresh fruit and vegetables whileensuring food safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
Supportthe Operations Leader - Produce with the daily management of thedepartment.
Leadand supervise the preparation and packing teams to achieve operationaltargets.
Monitorworkflow, productivity, and quality standards across the department.
Ensurecustomer orders are completed accurately and ready for dispatch on time.
Assistwith inventory management and stock control to minimise waste andshortages.
Monitorproduct quality throughout the production process.
Operateand oversee equipment to ensure safe and efficient use.
Providehands-on support with washing, cutting, preparing, and packing freshproduce when required.
Promotea positive team culture and support staff development.
Ensurecompliance with all food safety, quality assurance, health, and safetyrequirements.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a motivated team player who enjoys leading byexample and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed.
Ideally, you'll have:
1-2years' experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role.
Experiencewithin fresh produce, food processing, manufacturing, warehousing, or arelated industry.
Strongknowledge of food safety and quality standards.
Goodliteracy, numeracy, and computer skills.
Theability to learn and use multiple systems.
Excellentcommunication and people leadership skills.
Strongattention to detail and commitment to quality.
Apositive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Flexibilityto support operational requirements when needed.
Reliabletransport and the ability to commit to full-time hours.
Thephysical capability to safely lift up to *****kg.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
This is a physically active role that involves:
Workingin a cold storage and food processing environment.
Regularlifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of produce.
Repetitivetasks such as slicing, dicing, sorting, packing, and processing products.
Prolongedperiods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and manual handling.
Applicants should be comfortable working in these conditionsand able to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role.
