Team Leader - Land

We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

Actively contributing to Council's freshwater, land use, biodiversity and climate change initiatives
Contributing at a strategic level to the development and management of environmental monitoring, data management, policy planning and research implementation
Actively establishing networks and staying informed on community, regional and national land use issues as well as keeping abreast of relevant legislation and regulations

Have relevant experience working in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and/or urban land use areas
Have knowledge of land use effects on water quality (surface water and ground water) and biodiversity
Have an understanding of soil types, irrigation systems and discharges to land as well as nutrient models and their limitations
Have an understanding of resource management issues and practices
Have an understanding and appreciation for Ki uta ki tai (from the mountains to the sea)
Have a proven track record in defining information needs, planning and developing user-oriented reports
Have at least five years' experience as an effective leader demonstrated by a team that delivers high-quality outcomes in a timely mannerBe an exceptional communicator who will inspire, understand and connect with their team and communities
Have experience in effectively managing complex (multi-disciplinary, multi-agency and multi-objective) technical projects
Be an active team leader who knows how to harness the best from your team through education and mentoring
