We are owned and governed by five Kai Tahu papatipu runaka: The Role and You Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Team Lead - Operations like no other - a talented candidate who can bring outstanding administration and office management skills to our growing organisation. Reporting to the GM - Operations & Finance, this newly created and multi-faceted role is best suited to an experienced administrator who is people and solutions focused, a natural collaborator who enjoys meeting the needs of a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, has an established career within Office Management and Administration, and is passionate about driving and meeting outcomes. You will be highly organised and motivated, with a flair for working to deadlines and keeping the office running smoothly. Your excellent communication skills will contribute to the seamless flow of information, and your love of problem solving will position you to troubleshoot any issues that come your way. Additionally, you will have a high energy, friendly and supportive presence, with the agility and creative flair to add a touch of special to everything you do. The role is pivotal in supporting the day-to-day office functions, including human resources, payroll, health and safety, building and asset management, project related work-streams, high-level administrative support to the GM - Operations and Finance, and lead the small administration team. We are looking for someone who is capable and comfortable working autonomously at a senior administrative level, overseeing work programmes and delegating tasks accordingly, at the same time as pitching in on the more routine day-to-day tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities and Skills Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Co-ordinating the day-to-day office functions, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the office Overseeing and monitoring fleet operations to ensure a safe and compliant fleet is maintained and fit for business purposes. Providing oversight, monitoring and high-level administration to organisational Health and Safety Co-ordination and provision of high-level admin support to the Human Resources function Providing administrative support to the fortnightly payroll function, and end-to-end processing support during times of sickness or reduced capacity Managing special projects, then integrating tasks into BAU as needed Delegating, overseeing and reviewing team related work programmes Helping to improve existing systems and processes to ensure accurate, timely and efficient outcomes. Skills and Experience you will bring to the role: Exceptional management and organisational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities At least 3+ years' experience working in a similar role Thorough understanding of diverse business processes Strong understanding of Human Resources practices and Payroll legislation Well-developed critical thinking as it applies to logic and reasoning to investigate strengths and weaknesses of possible solutions, conclusion, or approaches to problems. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suites, and the ability to learn new software as needed Demonstrable analytical thinking and business insight, including experience in the use of spreadsheets to collate and analyse data to gain useful insights Relevant tertiary qualification in business/commerce or related field is desirable but not essential What We Can Offer You Aukaha is guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi in committing to bicultural responsiveness, equal employment opportunities and workforce development.
