Are you fun, confident and love to teach?Do you love working with kids?
This in-school sports programme is taught in primary, intermediate and secondary schools throughout New Zealand, and they need you to facilitate there sessions! We’re looking for people who are energetic and love working with students. It’s a great opportunity for people wanting to become teachers to start working within schools!
This programme focuses on developing kids' motor skills - from basic kicking and catching for primary schools, to advanced ball handling and game play for secondary schools - all with the aim of fostering a love for sport in a fun, sociable environment. All training is provided.
As a facilitator, you will be leading the group and teaching them skills, drills and games, interacting with the students and teachers, with the main aim making sure everyone is having fun!
There will be 3-15 hours work per week and you will be running the programme between 8.30am and 4.30pm at a local school.
Actual working hours can vary depending on the school and there is great flexibility to fit the hours around your other work or study - and you can work just one day per week or more. The programme will run between 1 and 6 weeks and new schools will be beginning all throughout the year.
Pay rate starts at $18 per hour but will increase as you gain responsibility and experience. Mileage Covered is also covered
Before starting, you will be required to attend one unpaid induction day during the school day at a local secondary school, so you need to have the flexibility to fit one of these days in. As well as giving you a great understanding of how sessions are run, this fun and exciting training day will give you the opportunity to test your leadership and communication skills, and see whether this job is the right fit for you.
