Permanent, part time (16 hours p/w, 2 days p/w)
Are you passionate about the safety and wellbeing of women and children? We are seeking a dedicated person to establish and coordinate Te Rerenga Tahi (Maternal Care and Wellbeing group).
This position will set up processes that support good communication and effective case management in a multi-agency forum. Te Rerenga Tahi aims to improve outcomes for women, their babies and families/whanau, when vulnerabilities are identified during the maternity care period. These vulnerabilities may include health, social, cultural and economic concerns.
As the successful applicant, your interpersonal skills will be to a very high standard in order to engage stakeholders. You will have an understanding of the social issues that impact on whanau, the barriers to accessing heath and an ability to establish and maintain systems.
You will work closely with both the Violence Intervention and Maternity Quality and Safety Programme (VIP and MQSP) coordinators and have a good understanding of the health system.
This position requires you to have a tertiary (degree level) qualification in health or social work.
