Talent Culture Coordinator Safety Environment Officer MISSION Novotel Ibis Tainui Hamilton are superbly located along the Waikato River in the heart of Hamilton s CBD with a combined 303 accommodation rooms soon to be 343 rooms early 2020 2 restaurants 9 conference rooms gym sauna spa Reporting to the Talent Culture Manager this position is responsible for providing quality and professional support for the Talent Culture department whilst assisting in the implementation of the policies and procedures for the Novotel and Ibis Tainui Hamilton As well as supporting Talent Culture in this role you will be responsible for the payroll health safety and sustainability to both the Novotel and ibis Tainui Hamilton and be able to manage your time effectively for the role to ensure all areas are up to date and compliant PERSONALITY SKILLS Coordinate front line recruitment and selection ensuring the best talent is recruited Coordinate team deadlines activities from WHS Sustainability to engagement initiatives Be our WHS Committee guru supporting the Chairperson with coordination and preparation Manage the online reporting tool incident reporting quality trends and contractor induction completion Coordinate and review hotel documentation and environmental systems and conduct regular internal audits Facilitate inhouse trainings including induction and compliance Drive sustainability projects and initiatives with our sustainability committee Support with admin duties across the employee lifecycle from contracts to payroll Managing the hotel master database and updating staff information Act as a trusted partner to the Talent Culture manager and Leadership Team SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS An outgoing and approachable nature and ability to build relationships across all levels Excellent verbal and written communication including public speaking exceptional personal presentation Ability to deal with matters with professionalism sensitivity and confidentiality Amazing attention to detail and a creative streak Knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation is beneficial Excellent administration and Microsoft application skills Ability to work unsupervised Ability to adapt to varying changes in pace and meet deadlines Previous experience in a Human Resources Management role in a hotel environment preferred WHS experience advantageous Tertiary qualified in Human Resources You must have the right to work in New Zealand Applications Close 15 December 2019 Start Date January 2020
