Join Powerco as a Systems Support Technician and play a key role in supporting our SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and the future development of our ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) functionality.About the role:You'll be responsible for:Updating graphical operator console displaysConfiguring databases for new and existing telemetered field equipmentAllocating and documenting network asset numbers for new field devicesYou'll work closely with our control room operators and support teams across outages, customer service, and system operations.
While full training is provided, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow into a specialist role at the heart of a modern operational centre.We're looking for someone with:Experience in SCADA hardware installation, software programming, configuration, and Human Machine Interface functionsKnowledge of computer systems, ideally including GIS (Geospatial Information Systems)Familiarity with SCADA communication mediums and protocols such as radio, fibre, Ethernet/IP, and DNP3Experience with computer-aided drawing tools, preferably AutoCADKnowledge of the electricity distribution industry and Microsoft applications would be an advantageIf you're tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and excited to support critical infrastructure in a dynamic team environment, we'd love to hear from you.
