The Company:
Are a large employer of choice in New Zealand, with their head office based in the Dunedin CBD. They have a large IT team and a collaborative and engaging environment. The business is future-focused, with innovation and sustainability as main drivers.The Role:Will see you involved in project-based upgrades across 14 plants around the country. Central to these projects will be upgrading their IT and OT systems (PLC/SCADA and MES equipment) across New Zealand.
You will be immersed in leading infrastructure workstreams across networking, security, server, and systems alongside design and delivery. Given the nature of the business and work involved, you will ideally have a background in industrial IT environments and experience working with engineering and automation teams and business stakeholders.
Outside of your IT experience, you will be a strong communicator, with a natural ability to build trust and rapport with SME’s to ensure the successful delivery of these projects.
This is a fixed-term 3-year role.To be Successful:A good fit for the role will see you as someone who has:Technical strength across all areas of infrastructure, specifically networking, security, and operational hardware.
Proven experience in managing multiple projects and workstreams – upgrades and migrations of major systems
Self-motivation, and is used to working to tight timeframes
Adaptability and dependability
Capability to travel nationally as part of project fit-outs.
To Stand out:As a perfect candidate, you will have all the above, as well as:Experience working with technology in a manufacturing setting – PLC, terminal machines, process line technology, and other OT equipment, and experience integrating this technology with IT solutions
