About the Role
Based out of our Wellington Branch and reporting to the Construction Manager, the Surfacing Manager will lead our Surfacing teams and continue to build on our existing successes.
Main responsibilities include:
* Pricing, planning and tendering for a wide range of surfacing projects and management of resources within budget while also ensuring that all targets are met
* Ensuring successful client relationships and moving heaven and earth to ensure the client’s expectations are fulfilled
* Managing all aspects of the design side of the Surfacing projects in conjunction with the technical team
* Ensuring our surfacing contracts are delivered on time and within budget to the appropriate standards specified
* Leading and inspiring our Surfacing team in accordance with the Higgins values and the highest standards of health and safety
From you we will be looking for:
* A tertiary qualification such as a BE, NZCE (Civil) or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent or near completion of diploma.
* A strong background in the various disciplines of sealing and asphalting in the roading sector
* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project (or equivalent)
* Being adaptable, flexible and having the capacity to cope with multiple issues
* The ability to lead and motivate teams to meet targets and objectives
