Summary

Are you the support worker we are looking for? Someone who is passionate about supporting people on their recovery journeys? If so, then keep reading.

We’re looking for several support workers to work in our Home-Based Support Service working part-time or full-time, Working from Monday to Sunday on different shifts.

Shifts include
AM’s 7.00am to 3.30pm
PMs 1.30pm to 10.00pm

As a support worker you might be kept busy supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills or attending appointments and advocating for people. You might be assisting people to connect with their communities. You’ll need to be prepared to support our clients to do whatever it takes - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping with everyday household tasks.

The Team

You’ll be reporting to a Team Coach and joining one of our Pathways Home Based Support Service Teams in Wellington or Kapiti. You will be working in a team of Support Workers – all with a common purpose to support people experiencing mental illness.

We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery focused way, you will be able to provide medication support for our people and have impeccable attention to detail.
• You must hold a current full drivers licence
• Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
• Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Pathways. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement. Pathways offers significant support for support workers to complete this study.
