The Role | Mo tenei turanga mahiJoin our Whanganui Respite team and be an integral part of promoting wellness.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support guests to enhance their individual well-being by lending an empathetic ear, facilitating on-site activities like mindfulness and sensory modulation, managing medications, maintaining a spacious residence, preparing nutritious meals, ensuring cleanliness, and welcoming clinical teams.
You will work from a trauma-informed lens, bring a calm, flexible personality, and a can-do attitude.
Your ability to remain optimistic and positive in challenging situations will support you to achieve optimal outcomes for our guests.
Your communication skills will enhance your professional and friendly manner, while maintaining clear boundaries to provide an environment that supports the achievement of equitable outcomes for all.
You will work as part of a motivated team who are interested in wellbeing and sustainability, and you will receive coaching and mentoring from a highly experienced Registered Nurse who leads the service.
Work Schedule: Role 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 7am – 15.30pm; 40hrs per week
You | MouWe are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery-focused way.
You must hold a current full driver's licence.
Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
