Our Addictions and Mental Health Service, including the Te Poutama Tautoka (TPT) team, is committed to helping individuals struggling with addictions develop the skills, knowledge, and strategies needed for positive life changes.Your Role: Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will play a crucial role in working with individuals and families in a whanau-centered approach. As a Social Support Worker, you will provide guidance, assistance, and strategies for a pathway to wellness. You will deliver professional and personal support rooted in our kaupapa Maori values of whakamana, kaitiakitanga, whanaungatanga, and kotahitanga.What We're Looking For: Experience in working in a theraputic environment for individuals or groups with addictions. Proficient in report writing and effective client and caseload management. Previous experience working with whanau in our community. A Full, current driver's license. Key Skills: Warmth, empathy and the ability to engage authentically with clients Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about Maori culture and protocols, applying our kaupapa Maori practices in your work. Comfortable with regular practice reviews and receptive to feedback and change. What We Offer: Full-time, permanent position (8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday).
