Based in Brooklyn Respite Wellington.
Summary
We’re looking for someone to join our Wellington Pathways’ Brooklyn Respite team, supporting people to regain their mental health and independence.

This is a 12 month fixed term role until mid June 2022. You’ll be working 40 hours per week from Sunday to Thursday an alternating weekly shift:

Week 1: 7.00am – 3.30pm
Week 2: 2.30pm- 11.00 pm

You will be working in a double staffed crisis respite setting where you will be supporting up to six people at one time. We are looking for a person who enjoys being with people, and are a good listener, have good communication skills and are able to respond quickly and effectively. You will be house proud with an eye for detail, enjoy cooking good food and be comfortable to work solo. Duties will include medication support, housekeeping to a high standard, undertaking our note taking on computer, cooking healthy inviting meals and maintaining our grounds as well.

The Team
You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Pathways Wellington Respite Service teams - all with a common purpose to support people experiencing mental illness.

You
We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery focused way, and you will be able to provide medication support for our people. You’ll have good verbal and written communication skills, have impeccable attention to detail, are reliable and have good time management skills.

You must hold a current full drivers’ licence
Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
Do you hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent, or are currently studying towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent? Please note all working on a respite service will require the above qualification.
