Agriculture & Investment Services (AIS) works with and for those on the land today and in the future. Supporting communities of farmers and growers to achieve their aspirations, and to meet the expectations of customers, government, and the public. And investing in tomorrow's world, as partners to increase primary industries' value and sustainability.
The Investment Skills & Performance Directorate has three areas of focus:

Investment - helping MPI to better deliver its long-term outcomes by making sure we use our administered funding programmes and other external investments prudently and smartly. The Directorate maintains a strategic view across MPI and its operating environment, looking at what it needs to achieve in the medium to long term, and how external investment can contribute most effectively.
Skills – implementation of a workforce and skills programme focussed at attracting, retaining and upskilling the primary sector.
Performance – ensuring that AIS has robust performance reporting and monitoring processes in place to enable AIS to deliver effectively and efficiently.
Korero mo te turanga - About the Role
The Support Officer is a key member of the Connectivity, Planning & Reporting team, within the Investment, Skills and Performance Directorate. You will be the go-to person and provide administration, logistical and technical support to the Agriculture & Investment Services business unit and will also contribute to systems and process improvements.
Within this entry-level role, your key responsibilities would include:
Acting as a super user for relevant MPI corporate systems and databases
Organising full logistics of staff on-boarding, off-boarding and inductions
Providing technical, meeting and travel support
Coordinate corporate management activities such as financial, personnel, IT and asset management processes
Skills and Experience
The Connectivity, Planning & Reporting team is excited to find an organised, ambitious and energetic staff member to join us. Along with this we are also looking for:
Experience working with computer packages and electronic document management systems
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships across several functions of the organisation as well as within the business unit
Ability to identify process efficiencies
