Details of the offer

OSPRI's core role is to safeguard the health of New Zealand's primary industries by managing and preventing the spread of bovine TB and M. Bovis. OSPRI implements effective biosecurity measures and provides integrated animal disease management services, expertise and systems that provide value to the primary sector. The organisation operates as a 'for purpose' company, owned by three shareholders: DairyNZ, Beef+Lamb and Deer Industry NZ. It is funded by levies along with Government investment through the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). OSPRI currently manages three major national programmes: TBfree (seeking eradication of bovine tuberculosis), M.bovis ( Mycoplasma bovis disease management eradication programme) supported by NAIT (National Animal Identification and Tracing system).  Managing and controlling possum populations in TB risk areas is a major part of the TBfree programme, and a large part of the work we do at OSPRI. The successful candidate will have strong verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across OSPRI.
