The Role

You will be reporting to the Dunedin Contract Manager. You will lead several small teams consisting of electricians, line mechanics/ trade assistants.

This role will see you lead your teams in undertaking tasks associated with the Dunedin Lighting Contracts. In the initial stage of this contract, you and your team will be responsible for the upgrade of the entire street lighting network owned by Dunedin City Council for replacing luminaires; And thereafter, work will revolve around maintenance and fault response.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of all aspects of the works from safety to planning to the updating of accurate data to meet all requirements of the client's asset management system.

There is a big focus on working as part of one big national electrical services team, sharing information with supervisors, team leaders, and other team members to contribute in the overall growth of the business.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have/be:
o Certified electrician with NZ registration and current practicing licence
o Proven experience in Distribution (preferred)
o Traffic management skills would be beneficial, but if not, we will provide training
o Able to drive excellence and a safe working environment
o Proven leadership skills with the ability to plan ahead and problem solve
o Demonstrated strong verbal and written skills
o Flexible and proactive to handle the needs of clients and other relevant stakeholders
o Excellent understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) systems, policies and procedures, including reporting of incidents, and the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
