This is a student-centric role that focuses recruitment, providing comprehensive support and guidance to help our students overcome barriers, develop essential skills, and achieve their full potential within our program, and support after they graduate.This is a full-time position, based in Newmarket Auckland.Key Responsibilities:1.
Recruitment & AdmissionsDevelop strategies to connect with prospective students and referral partners.Lead the admissions pipeline to ensure timely, seamless onboarding.Collaborate with partners to enhance awareness and access for candidates.2.
Student Support & Case ManagementDeliver and facilitate the weekly Self-Transformation Program (STP) in both New Zealand and Australian classrooms.Provide 1:1 coaching and support, including pastoral care and referrals to specialized services.Develop and manage Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and ensure disability accommodations.Monitor and improve student satisfaction through regular surveys and feedback.Manage escalation processes and participant complaints with empathy and professionalism.3.
Graduate & Alumni Careers SupportSupport alumni with job placement, apprenticeships, and role retention initiatives.Oversee mentoring within the classroom, including mentor events.Provide guidance on job search strategies and career development.4.
Engagement & EventsPlan and execute graduation ceremonies and whanau (family) engagement events.Foster a strong sense of community among students, alumni, and their families.Need to have:Good listening, patience, empathy, firmness, and tenacity.
Making sure students feel supported and at the same time, not shying away from difficult conversations.Consistency.
Setting and reinforcing expectations takes time and repetition.Organised mindset.
We value great documentation and follow-through as ways to seamlessly work in a team and consistently produce outcomes that exceed our students' and donors' expectations.Proven teaching skills: to clearly explain complex issues to students and keep them motivated to face the learning challenges.Nice to have:Social work, either formal education or work experience in a related field.Experience working in startups.Experience in or working in a justice system context, i.e., with incarcerated or formerly incarcerated people.A desire to start with less and still create great outcomes.Experience working in adult education.Sales experiences.This is a unique role, with an even more unique company.
