In this role youll have the opportunity to be at the forefront of emerging technology and trends, commercialise innovative opportunities and help clients embrace disruption to grow, transform and/or sustain their businesses.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small, but growing team and capability in the Queensland market, which is part of a larger national team also operating from both Sydney and Melbourne. Youll get to be part of and influence that growth with the opportunity to leverage both KPMGs global strategy specialists and broader management consulting teams. In short, youll have the opportunity to help develop the strategy practice, whilst managing client projects.
Youll get to manage and lead projects with diverse teams and diverse clients, actively solving their complex challenges. Youll get to embed yourself within our clients, engage with multiple stakeholders and provide recommendations to boards and executives to improve their businesses. Youll also get to develop specialist knowledge in strategy and contemporary ways of working.

The work youll do
Manage strategy engagements for clients to improve their businesses. Youll get to help our government, industry and not-for-profit clients embrace disruption, understand their respective markets - including their roles and opportunities in it - and to transform their businesses
Do work that matters to our clients and to you, and align yourself to sectors and strategy disciplines that you are passionate about
Lead the day-to-day engagement execution while guiding and developing team members
Work directly with clients, often on-site, and take ownership of the overall engagement and end deliverables
Make a real impact by connecting different elements of KPMGs multi-disciplinary service offerings to deliver and implement innovative and practical solutions
Handle ambiguity and changing client demands effectively
Demonstrate high levels of drive, ambition and the ability to lead work at high levels of intensity
Contribute to business development efforts including pitches and proposals for clients
Liaise with internal senior specialists/stakeholders to ensure we bring the best of our local and global expertise and experience to all engagements
Identify, design and lead critical practice development initiatives, coordinating with other members of the team

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:
Significant experience within a client facing strategy or management consulting firm is preferable
Experience in managing projects and teams
Business development experience is essential, including proposals and pitches
Possess exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills
Hold strong commercial acumen
Be creative and have excellent problem solving capability, including the ability to think divergently and rationalise multiple outcomes
Strong business writing, presentation development and oral communication skills
Ability to review and assess large volumes of technical data and distil the key strategic insights
Have the initiative to manage teams and deliver complex projects or programs
Be able to adapt to a constantly changing and rapidly growing business environment
