Bring yours to Block.The RoleBlock is offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and results-driven Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team, supporting the Marketing category. This fully remote role is based in Australia (remote) and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in Strategic Sourcing and Category Leadership to drive impactful sourcing strategies in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. In this role, you will lead initiatives that support insourcing and outsourcing efforts, enhance the adoption of the source-to-pay process, and optimize systems for greater efficiency. Your responsibilities will also include sourcing management, contract negotiation, and offering strategic guidance in partnership management. As part of the Procurement team, you will report directly to the Sourcing Lead and play a key role in shaping sourcing strategies that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a continuous improvement mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to provide valuable insights to key stakeholders. You'll be expected to engage proactively with business partners and offer thought leadership on market trends and best practices, ensuring alignment and fostering strong collaborations across teams.You WillSupport, Lead and Drive Insource-Outsource Initiatives as well as drive RFX's, Contract Negotiations and help improve APAC Procurement initiative.Own the selection/negotiation/management/purchasing for large category groups and multiple smaller suppliers or sub-categories as a key contributor/leader.Work with Procurement and cross-functional leaders to develop, implement and monitor category strategies.Support Block leadership strategic planning efforts, focusing on sourcing (thru best in class sourcing methodologies), contract negotiation, buying, and risk mitigation strategy.Oversee complex, Block-wide supplier relations, developing solutions to new problems and using your foresight to anticipate future trends and issues.Lead a network of other authorities, building cross-functional consensus. You are responsible for and will project manage Key Category Supplier Relationship QBRs to ensure Block is receiving agreed to services based on key SLAs and KPIs.Model strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills and have a noticeable positive impact on the velocity and success of your teammates.Develop selection/negotiation criteria, establish purchasing goals, coordinate resources, and provide category leadership in line with long-term buying objectives.Uphold, champion, and exemplify the Block values.Will support business partners around APAC including Australia, New Zealand and Japan.You HaveMinimum 7 years of Procurement/Strategic Sourcing experience.Experience depth with Source-to-Contract and Procure-to-Pay Practices.Experience using Procurement and Sourcing Tools such as SCOUT, COUPA, Oracle, etc.Proven experience in marketing procurement or sourcing, with a strong understanding of marketing strategies, vendors, and industry trends.Superior relationship building, relationship management, and interpersonal communication and influencing skills.Communicates effectively, listens carefully, and seeks and values different perspectives of others.Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
