Strategic Management Accountant

We have an opportunity for a multi-talented individual to join our Finance team in a new and exciting role.
As the Strategic Accounting Manager, reporting to the CFO, you will champion an organisation wide culture of continuous improvement within the finance team, and enabling the provision of best practice business support, utilising both existing technology, new solutions and data science.
Working collaboratively within your team and across our business units, you’ll be identifying where we can make our systems and processes more flexible and agile, so that they are efficient, effective and better meet the needs of our internal and external customers.
Ideally, applicants will:
Have an appetite for process improvement and analysis, and be comfortable in challenging the status quo
Proven ability to lead the wider business (finance, business units and support functions) through the evaluation and implementation of technology solutions.
Understand how technology can be leveraged to enable the finance function, and to deliver decision support to all functions in Gallagher.
Work with Information Services and key finance staff to create reliable data,and evaluate tools the business can use to gain insight into their respective business units.
To be considered for this role, you will have:

Minimum of 10 years post Formal Accounting Qualification working in Finance Roles, ideally an SAP environment.
Previous involvement in project teams working on complex systems/business projects, ideally with some project management experience in a business environment.
Responsibility for organising and running requirements gathering meetings with internal and external stakeholders
Breadth of experience would be an advantage to ensure understanding of “best practice” business processes
