We sell a large variety of Indian products including jewellery, sarees, wedding dresses, kitchen wares, sculptures, home furnishing, and other religious stuff. So our store manager must have great management skills to plan and organize the day-to-day operations of our busy store.
The Store Manager will develop strategies, carry out marketing and promotions to improve store sales, and grow the existing customer base. The Store Manager will also carry out the ordering of stock and budgeting.
Store manager must be willing to work on the weekends.
Duties for the role of Store Manager include but not limited to the following:
Manage daily operations of the store to achieve store sales
Ordering the stock, product mix and dealing with the suppliers
Budgeting and setting of the prices for the products
Create annual and monthly budgets and forecasts
Identify and introduce new products in the store
Prepare reports on buying trends, customer needs, profits, etc.
Meeting and liaising with all suppliers
Selection, hiring, supervision, and training of staff
Meet sales goals by training, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff
Manage cash flow activities and payroll
Ensure all products are displayed appropriately and shelves are loaded with fresh products at all times
Monitor product display, signage, promotions, and inventory while maintaining the quality of appearance of the store
Promote the store locally by liaising with local newspapers and the local community
Maintain awareness of market trends and monitor the activities of local competitors
Respond to customer complaints and comments
The successful applicant must have:
Tertiary qualification
Preferrable 1-3 years of relevant work experience
Excellent management and communication skills
Familiarity with a variety of Indian items, such candidates will be preferred
