Tokoroa based feed manufacturing company

Our client is an Australian supplier of stock feed solutions to farmers across New Zealand. They provided high quality ruminant feed across the dairy, beef, sheep and goat markets. Listed as an essential service, planning and expansion and coming into summer – they are busier than ever!
They are now hunting for a technically savvy stock controller, who is not opposed to rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in at the Tokoroa manufacturing site.
Working closely with supply chain, sales and site manufacturing personnel this function shall manage customer orders through to fruition, raw material and consumables demand planning and ordering, onsite inventory levels including monthly stock takes, together with the preparation and maintenance of tracking and reporting requirements.
Core duties:
The management of stock levels and stock records on a daily basis
Manage the Customer Fulfilment process
Forecast and plan for customer demand to ensure orders can be fulfilled in full and on time
Manage and co-ordinate logistics and delivery of sales orders to customers
Continuously optimise sales order and fulfilment processes to reduce risks and improve performance
Streamline packaging, shipping and transportation processes
Track shipments diligently and address any delays promptly
Maintain traceability of products all the way to customers
Ensure stock levels on site are maintained and production is not impeded by any shortages of materials
Working closely with the Operations and Compliance Manager provide support as required with the development, implementation and maintenance of relevant safety and quality documentation for the Tokoroa site

What you need?
Along with a can do attitude, a down to earth demeanour and the desire to grow and develop your logistics & manufacturing career you will have:
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in logistics control preferably in high value or bulk materials
Strong organisational abilities with excellent understand of inventory systems
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with good attention to detail
You have the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time, all while operating at speed!
You have financial acumen - you can budget, forecast, analyse, and accurately report on logistics costs
0045prienc with FMCG / Agriculture/Dairy or Farming (or supplies) would be a bonus!
A desire to up-skill and grow – this role is progressional for the right person!
Logistics & Transport scheduling is preferred but not essential
