About the Company:This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for an experienced Stock Controller to join a new team running an established business that is growing exponentially. This role reports to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager and has a team of three staff reporting to it. The warehouse provides distribution services to the FMCG sector, to the parent group’s own brands, and on a third party basis to a major consumer brand.About the Role:In recent months a number of related businesses have been consolidated onto one site in the Auckland airport district. Several staff did not make the move to the new site due to Auckland traffic considerations. The major challenge will be to establish and maintain stock integrity and to maximise efficiencies. This involves running daily replenishment reports, managing cyclical stock takes and inventory adjustments, regular review of pick face suitability, assisting with stock enquiries and bulk orders, and working alongside other supervisors to ensure the warehouse operates efficiently and meets its deadlines and KPIs.About You:Suitable candidates will have at least 3 years’ demonstrated experience (ideally within the FMCG sector) in a medium to large sized warehousing and distribution business. You will need to be a good manager of staff or be willing to step up into a supervisor role. You must have knowledge of large company ERP (Navision, SAP, JDE etc) systems, the ability to plan and organise, and have good relationship and communication skills. You will also need to have a current forklift license.
