About the role:
This role will be part of the pre-opening team, where you will get a chance to work in the most luxurious hotel Auckland has seen.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Prepares tableware for washing; receives orcollects tableware to be washed and removes food residue with scraper; sortschina, glassware, and silverware, placing each in separate racks or trays,standing plates and saucers on edge, and inverting cups so that they may bewashed more effectively.
To ensure thatoperating and kitchen equipment is maintained to a good standard with minimumbreakage.
To have a completeunderstanding of and adhere to the company’s policy relating to fire, hygieneand safety.
Works closely with other employees in asupportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hoteland the satisfaction of hotel guests.
Qualifications

Basic knowledge of Kitchen Hygiene
Work experience as Steward in a hotel or restaurant with good standards desirable
Ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment
Must be able to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings and weekends
