Our team of SterileServices/Theatre Technicians work in our modern Operating Theatre suite at NelsonHospital sterilising and processing reusable instruments and equipment for theoperating theatres and other hospital departments, as well as assisting nursingteams with patient transportation, theatre cleaning and equipment provision.
We have a permanentpart-time position available working56 hours a fortnight (0.7FTE). Shifts of 8 hours are rostered Monday-Friday, between0700 and 2030 with an ‘on call’ roster to assist with after-hours work, oncetraining is complete.
Permanent employeeshave the opportunity to study towards the National Certificate in SterilisingTechnology (Level 3), from the New Zealand Open Polytechnic; the cost of whichwill be met by the hospital, if not already attained.
