About the service:
Sterilising Units are the heart of the hospital; our hands hold the commitment of excellence. We provide sterile equipment for 25 operating theatres plus district nurses and our external customers. We are a great team of 61 staff, who all take the role of Technicians seriously but also know how to laugh. We were the first hospital in Australasia to complete the Halyard Education programme in 2018.
About the role:
We are seeking a positive and self-motivated person for a technician position in the Sterile Services Unit at Waikato Hospital. Previous experience in a sterilising unit is preferred. You must hold a Sterilising Technology Course Certificate or equivalent, or be prepared to work towards completing the course. You will work rostered shifts, weekends, public holidays and on-call.
