Description
We are seeking experienced Steel Fixers to join Extrastaff Limited.
The ideal candidate will be organized, trustworthy, and pride themselves on quality workmanship.
Flexibility regarding work locations across the country is preferred.
The responsibilities include:

Positioning and securing steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms using appropriate tools and fasteners.
Assembling rods in forms according to blueprints, using wire and pliers.
Interpreting blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions to determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods.
Placing blocks to hold rebar off the deck when reinforcing floors.
Cutting rods to required lengths using metal shears, hacksaws, or torches.
Fitting and positioning wire mesh or fabric to reinforce concrete.
Bending steel rods and welding with arc-welding equipment.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Skills and experience required:

Minimum of 1 year relevant experience or qualification equivalent to NZQF level 2 or 3.
Good time management, a strong work ethic, and reliability.
Willingness to learn and develop within the industry.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Pay rate ranges from $25.50 to $32.00 per hour.
Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
