Steel Fixers Needed In Auckland

We are looking for experienced Steel Fixers to join our business, Extrastaff Limited.
Our growing company requires an organized and trustworthy individual who prides themselves on quality workmanship.

Job Responsibilities:

Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms using appropriate tools.
Fasten rods together in forms according to blueprints, using wire and pliers.
Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints or instructions.
Place blocks under rebar to elevate bars when reinforcing floors.
Cut rods to required lengths with metal shears, hacksaws, or torches.
Cut and fit wire mesh or fabric and position it in concrete for reinforcement.
Bend steel rods with hand tools or machines and weld them as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 1 year relevant experience or NZQF level 2 or 3 qualification in steel fixing.
Friendly demeanor with good time management and a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn and develop skills within the industry.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Reliable and hardworking.
Pay Conditions:
Minimum $25.00 per hour to a maximum of $32 per hour.
Hours of Work:
Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week.
Location:
Occasional travel may be required across various regions in New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, and others.

This role is a permanent, full-time position.
