Staff Nurse - ITU

Wellington

HCA Healthcare UK are currently looking for qualified Nurses to Join the intensive Care Team at The Wellington Hospital. With our nurse to patient ratio frequently at 1:1 or 1:2, giving you the opportunity to do what you do best: Care.
You will have the opportunity to work across an extremely diverse and acute patient-load covering a range of specialities, including Cardiac, Liver, Neuro & Spinal – giving you the flexibility to specialise in a specific area or keep your work varied and your skills challenged. As our units are equipped with the latest technology you have everything you need to provide specialized care to our level 2 & 3 patients.
In addition to the amazing team and patients, we have an excellent education team that can work with you to complete your 60 credit ITU course; or offer a bespoke learning programme to identify your career pathway by undertaking Teaching and Mentorship courses, ILM or working towards your pathway in either Critical Care or Leadership & Management.

The salary for this role starts at £34,000 (with additional Shift enhancement) and will be dependent upon skills and experience. If you currently hold an accredited ITU Course you will also be eligible for an additional bonus payment.
Skills & Experience:
Registered General Nurse with NMC pin.Neuro, Cardiac or General ITU/HDU specific skills and experience.Motivated and forward thinking individual with excellent communication skills.Excellent communication skills with good time management and prioritisation skills.Practice Assessor CourseCritical Care Course (30 or 60 Credits)Duties & Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to meet the patient and their family’s needsResponsible for planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and dischargesUndertake extended roles such as venipuncture, cannulation and phlebotomyContributing to the ongoing research based care and other practice development initiativesWorking with junior staff and delegating and supervising the care in a fair and equitable mannerRecognising the signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient and initiate early interventions in a calm and co-ordinated mannerIf you’re looking to take the next step in your career and want to be part of a fantastic team, then please apply to us today or e********** with a copy of your CV.
