Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) are looking for aSr Project Engineerwith Electronic Security Systems experience to join the team in Christchurch.
The Sr Project Engineer will report to the Engineering / Commissioning Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager on the delivery of security projects to which they have been allocated. You will responsible for coordinating the requirements of various key internal and external partners ranging from Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Service, through to Customers and Customer site employees.
Key Responsibilities;
Electronic Security Systems design, implementation, integration and documentation
Identification and assessment of customer needs and specifications on-site and translating into workable solutions
Developing software (configuring PLC), perform ‘bench testing’ if required and deliver commissioning package to the field. Perform commissioning and assist in the start-up as required.
Sales Assistance, involving innovative use of the newest technology in establishing system design, and providing project estimates
Provide technical direction to project team members, help in planning/scheduling of project execution and Quality Assurance
Appropriate security clearances need to be obtained for this role to gain access to correctional centres and other security requirements.

Education, Qualification & Experience;
A degree or considerable experience in an electrical, electronic, mechatronic or similar engineering discipline or trade.
A comprehensive understanding of high-end security applications: CCTV, IPTV/MATV, Intercom, PLC, Access Control and/or Biometrics
Experience in security engineering (hardware and software)
Considerable experience in control projects, with extensive on-site knowledge
Capacity to deliver against multiple objectives
Appropriate security clearances need to be obtained for this role to gain access to correctional centres and other security requirements
