Critical Care Outreach Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Critical Care Outreach Team (CCOT).
The CCOT are a specialist team of senior nurses who respond to and support patients who are either stepping down from a period of critical illness or who are showing clinical signs of deterioration.
To undertake the role of Speciality Nurse in the Critical Care Outreach Team, you would need to have fulfilled all of the following:
•A minimum of 5 years' experience in ICU/ED/ADU/CCU/PACU
•Have completed or working towards the PDRP requirements for a RN Level 4 or Senior Nurse in own specialty
•Have completed or working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Intensive/Critical Care Nursing or other equivalent specialized qualification e.g. Emergency Nursing
•Hold a current CORE Advanced Resuscitation certification
It would be advantageous if you have had any previous experience in similar teams (Outreach / Patients at Risk).
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, motivated individuals who have excellent teamwork, communication and leadership skills. You will have advanced assessment skills, be interested in teaching and enjoy the challenge of your own development as a nurse, as well as developing others.
The Critical Care Outreach Service provides cover 24/7 at North Shore Hospital and 1400-2230 hours at Waitakere Hospital and involves a mixed 8 and 12 hour roster for all staff.
