The OpportunityWe are looking for an expert Registered Nurse who has experience working as a Critical Care Nurse who would enjoy the challenge of joining our Patient at Risk team. We are recruiting towards providing a 24/7 Patient at Risk Service within Palmerston North Hospital.The Patient at Risk Specialty Clinical Nurse is an advanced nursing practice role with specialist knowledge in identification, assessment, care co-ordination and support with specific reference to deteriorating or patients at risk. The role is responsible to provide clinical expertise and leadership, promoting clinical excellence and ensuring best practice standards are maintained.The Patient at Risk Specialty Clinical Nurse will work across the continuum of care, enhancing the point of care for the patient at risk in the ward setting, ensuring care is coordinated, comprehensive and informed by advanced specialist knowledge. The Patient at Risk Clinical Specialty Nurse has expert generic nursing knowledge across the age spectrum with a developed expertise in the assessment and recognition of the deteriorating patient.
