#CLOSER #BRAVER #FASTERThe RoleYou are part of a technology products and services division, that creates market differentiation through deployment of resilient, innovative technology and contemporary methods, at scale.For your role to make a difference, you will manage prioritisation and backlog and be the conduit between the teams across Developer Experience. The customers for Developer Experience products are internal customers and developers, and the products include such items as cloud onboarding platform, enablement frameworks and capability products. This is a new role where we are looking to bring a product mindset and product owner capabilities to the challenge. You will review analytics, customer feedback, industry trends, emerging technology and business led improvement ideas to provide input into the generation and prioritisation of Developer Experience initiatives.You will define the feature set of assigned initiatives, working with your manager, engineering lead and key stakeholders, and prioritise the backlog to maximise customer and business benefit with an emphasis on hard data driven evidence.You will have the opportunity to develop your capabilities and skills so that they can be utilised more broadly within Technology and IAG.Key ResponsibilitiesReview analytics, customer feedback, industry trends, emerging technology and business led improvement ideas to provide input into the generation and prioritisation of developer experience initiativesValidate opportunities/ideas generated by others to determine if they viable to pursueWork with stakeholders to test assumptions in cost effective ways to determine the best way to address opportunitiesCo-ordinate and support the generation of proposals/business cases to secure endorsement for those improvements determined to be viableDemonstrate a clear vision for the direction of your developer experience product/initiative and mobilise/motivate colleagues to help achieve itYou can clearly articulate to delivery teams the product roadmap, and "why" customer problems and epics are being prioritizedDefine the feature set of assigned initiatives and prioritise the backlog to maximise customer and business benefit with an emphasis on hard data driven evidenceAct as a conduit between digital and the business to ensure that both parties are aligned on what value is being delivered and how it is being doneAct as the voice of the customer to ensure that all decisions are tied back to customer needsWork to develop individual capability as a product owner as agreed with managerActively contribute to improving the capability of the wider product community through coaching, mentoring, upskilling sessions etcSkills & ExperienceStrong data focus and experience in data driven decision makingA current product owner certification, CSPO or equivalentExperience in applying an agile methodology to digital developmentExperience in applying lean principles to initiative identification, development and deliveryAbility to effectively engage, influence, and manage expectationsDemonstrated ability to collaborate, to contribute and create effective teamwork across organisational boundariesDemonstrated ability to apply product constructs to internal facing products and teams.A strong work ethic and a desire to go the extra mile, and ability to work to demanding and rapid timelinesExperience in digital only or technology-based companiesRelevant tertiary/ post-graduate qualifications including Business Management with in-depth industry experience, or lesser formal qualifications with more extensive workplace experience3+ years' experience as an Agile Product Owner preferably with experience in the insurance/financial services industryA current product owner certification, CSPO or equivalentAbout UsAt IAG, we believe that everyone has a unique point of view to share, shaped by their life experiences, cultures & passions.
