Specialist Pharmacist - Clinical Pharmacy Quality (Full Time) Middlemore Hospital, CM Health-CMH20202348Full timePermanentRemuneration as per MECA guidelinesA unique opportunity has become available at Middlemore Hospital Clinical Pharmacy Service for an experienced clinical pharmacist to contribute to the development and delivery of patient centred clinical pharmacy services.
In this role you will be responsible for developing, implementing and measuring compliance with clinical quality initiatives in therapeutics with the goal of ensuring our practice aligns with evidence based best practice. The role will work closely with the interdisciplinary teams to develop clinical KPIs in specific areas. It will also support the quality assurance activities for pharmacy services. Due to the nature of this role, recent experience in a wide range of clinical pharmacy services and therapeutics is essential. This role therefore will also be required to spend at least 50% of time on direct clinical duties.
The successful applicant will have at least 4-5 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist and be skilled at identifying and applying evidence based best practice. Excellent communication skills, relationship and project management as well as demonstrated ability to deliver programmes within strict timelines are pre-requisites. Relevant postgraduate qualifications in clinical pharmacy or quality improvement would be desirable. This role also requires the incumbent to participate in the extended pharmacy service hours, oncall and weekend rosters.
You will need to be registered as a pharmacist in New Zealand or be eligible to gain registration.
