Weare currently seeking a full time Vascular Surgeon within the Department of Vascular Surgery. We will also considera fixed term contract for a one to two year appointment as a specialist or fellow.
Thevascular service at CM Health consists of four full time vascular surgeons. There is excellent collegial relationship withinthe speciality and between other surgical and medical services.
Therole will involve managing the full spectrum of vascular disorders in bothacute and elective settings. The acute on call roster is 1:4 and you will beinvolved in supervising junior staff, surgicaltrainees and medical students.
Theservice has access to new theatre facilities, modern wards & clinics. Theservice has its own vascular laboratory with twosonographers and full time vascular nurse specialist. We provide a completerange of investigations and endovenous procedures which are performed at theManukau Super Clinic.
Suitable applicants must have completed surgical training with experience inVascular Surgery and be eligible to gain vocational registration with the MedicalCouncil of New Zealand. If you have gained the FRACS (Vascular) it would be anadded advantage.
