Manpower Recruitment are looking for a Sous Chef on a Full Time, Permanent basis located in Oxford, within an established restaurant setting, working between two restaurant settings, close by.The role will be working 5/7 days and weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays will be required.The role is paying £38,000 pa.Experience with fresh products is essential.
As Sous Chef, you are a vital part of our brigade and will support the Head Chef, spending your days serving delicious food in a well-equipped kitchen while developing your skills.We are looking for a professional Sous Chef to be the second in command in our kitchen, following our Executive Chef's specifications and guidelines.
The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers' satisfaction.Sous Chef responsibilities include:Helping in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menusProducing high quality plates both in design and tasteEnsuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standardsAdditional ResponsibilitiesFill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessaryResourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situationManage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedules, and assess staff performanceOrder supplies to stock inventory appropriatelyComply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customersRequirements and SkillsExperience as a Sous Chef or at a level to step upUnderstanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and proceduresExcellent record of kitchen and staff managementAccuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutionsFamiliar with industry's best practicesWorking knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)If interested, please get in contact with a Manpower representative.Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy, you might need a work permit.
