Sous Chef

Maruia Hot Springs is located in the Lewis Pass national park on State Highway 7. We are redeveloping our offering to bring it in line with our vision which is to become a world class hot springs bathing resort. We are looking for a Chef in our kitchen to serve unique concept of healthy flavoursome innovative dishes in our restaurant and cafe. An extraordinary opportunity to be at the forefront of wellness retail food.Main responsibilities will be assisting the head chef with preparation and service and helping to prepare a la carte menu food and two staff meals per day.The person will require solid kitchen experience and training, able to do long hours during busy times and good speed for service and prepRoom and board is provided at a low daily rate. It is a fantastic place to save money. The applicant must be comfortable to live in remote places with limited internet use and community living as well as a love for hot springs bathing.This position is available now. Pay will vary depending on the amount of time of the committment.
