The Southern DHB Radiology department are now recruiting for a Sonographer to join their team, based out of Southland Hospital in Invercargill. Southland Hospital is one of the two major hospitals incorporated in the Southern DHB. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and complemented by excellent educational and adventure opportunities, this is an exciting post for a senior Sonographer looking to take on a new role.
The position itself calls for an experienced, approachable and professional individual with a team-based approach and an affinity with both patients and staff alike. You will contribute to positive change within the department and operate with an all-inclusive approach. Your communication skills will be refined and you will be a team player through and through. Our Ultrasound department is well appointed with the latest technology and our staff enjoy the variety of cases they see daily. We encourage a team-focused approach to the service we deliver and excellent time management and decision making skills are essential as well as the ability to work under pressure.
You will be experienced in all aspects of ultrasound including general, paediatrics, musculoskeletal, vascular, abdo, obstetrics and women’s health as well as being able to assist the Radiologist with interventional procedures. You will need to be a qualified Sonographer registered with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZMRTB) and hold a current Practicing Certificate. we would be happy to talk to you if you are off shore and needing assistance with your registration.
