Solution Architect (with a focus on applications)
Want to be part of a future thinking team moving to the next generation digital platform then we have a job for you. We are looking for a Solution Architect who will directly contribute to our vision and strategy of providing a multi-channel hybrid cloud ecosystem that will provide the next level of agility to respond to business needs and demands.
You will be key in ensuring that solution architectures, designs and implementation are suitable to support our core organisational functions where your strong technical leadership, skills and knowledge will be utilised to the full. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to strategic decisions, roadmaps and their execution by working with project managers developing project plans.
Key Success Factors
To ensure your success in this key role you will bring a broad understanding across multiple disciplines such as application, data, infrastructure and security. You will have a thorough knowledge of multi-tier architectures, service-oriented development and microservices with experience in formal architecture frameworks.
You must have a minimum of 7 years of previous experience in the Application domain space with knowledge and experience in the following technologies;
Our core system is implemented in MS .Net with C#, HTML, JavaScript and Oracle DB so experience with these are essential.
Our future direction is with Microsoft Azure and Mobile so knowledge of these technologies would be beneficial.
Thorough knowledge of modern enterprise application patterns and practices.
Good understanding of systems integration patterns and practices.
Experience with Waterfall and Agile software development lifecycles.
Solid skills in options analysis and solution evaluation.
Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of low code/no code platforms would be an added bonus
Experience in a multi-supplier sourcing environment would be a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management is a must!
