Solicitor (Part-Time)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced solicitor to join our in-house legal team.
This is a part-time position (32 hours per week) and based in our Thames office.Reporting to our Legal Counsel, the role is varied; from public law to property & commercial law, disputes and litigation, this role is a generalist role touching on almost every aspect of local government law.
You will be preparing agreements, licences, property instruments, and giving legal advice for a wide range of projects and processes.
You will regularly engage with our external lawyers and consultants and provide training and legal support to the council's internal staff.Ideally, you will be someone who is mentally agile and can think outside the box to find innovative solutions.
You will have a personality that is able to develop strong working relationships while still having a laugh or two.
You will be a self-starter who can prioritise and operate under pressure.You will have a current practising certificate or the ability to hold one, an eye for detail, and outstanding organisational skills.
You will be able to communicate complex legal concepts in a manner that can be understood and acted upon.
