Solicitor

We have an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Solicitor to join our team of trade mark and branding experts at AJ Park in Auckland.
You'll have upward of 3 years PQE with a desire to further your career in the world of Intellectual Property.This is a newly created role in a skilled and established team that manages a large trade mark practice with matters for local and international clients.
Our clients span across a variety of industries and sectors, ranging from emerging innovators through to large corporates.
You will have the opportunity to work on some cool subject matter with experts in their field.
You'll be working with some of the world's largest and most exciting brands, as well as some of the most innovative New Zealand businesses.The RoleConducting and reporting trade mark searchesFiling and prosecuting trade mark applicationsProactively assisting clients and looking for new business opportunitiesRecordal of assignments, licenses and similar changesPreparing evidence of useGeneral trade mark adviceMeets financial targets – day book, WIP, debtors, billable and non-billable hoursLiaising with clients, IPONZ, and IP AustraliaBuilds professional profile through LinkedIn and other industry platformsAdhering to the AJ Park Quality Management ProceduresAny other duties as reasonably requiredIn order to be successful in this role you will have:Strong written and oral communication skills.
