Software Developer - Application Services.
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to build software solutions to support engagement with students and assist them on their University journey? We are looking for anotherSoftware Developer - Application Servicesto join our team at Massey University on our Palmerston North campus.
TheApplication Services teamfocuses on ensuring the University can respond with agility to the rapidly changing use of applications in the education sector to create a world-leading student, researcher and staff user experience of applications at Massey. It provides across-University application analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and support services to all parts of Massey to help achieve the University’s strategic goals and business plans.
To work with us you will need:
• At least 3 years’ experience in software development including analysis and solution design experience across the SDLC.
• Proven technical skills in software project development including Agile and have some experience with associated Microsoft products e.g. SharePoint.
• Sound problem solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proven documentation experience.
• The ability to reason logically, yet creatively at times.
• Enthusiasm, self -motivation and a strong client focus.
• Proven interpersonal skills in order to develop relationships and communicate software complexities in a simple yet persuasive manner.
This position reports into the Application Development Manager and you’d be joining a team of 9. You’ll work closely with other software developers, business analysts, software architects and IT professionals to develop solutions.
