Community based Child Health Social WorkerFull-time, permanent position (40 hours per week)Monday – Friday, Greenlane Clinical CentreStarship Community provides interdisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people and their whanau living within the Auckland DHB area. Our service is made up of three locality based community teams, a central service and a hearing and ear health department. We have a mixture of nursing, allied health and technical staff delivering a range of health care services including well child/ tamariki ora; child development, acute and long term medical care.We are committed to delivering whanau -centered care that focuses on the health and wellbeing of children and their whanau. Getting to know our communities, working closely with them, removing inequities and barriers to health care for priority populations, are key drivers for us each day. We are currently seeking a Social Worker to join our community service full-time to support children and their whanau who have high health and social needs in the community.Alongside the breadth of social work services delivered, the social work team also provides Healthy Homes’ assessments. Care is delivered to children, young people, and their whanau in their home; school and community setting.As a Social Worker in Starship Community you will be experienced in child, family/ whanau social work including child protection. You will have previously work experience in a hospital setting and have the ability to work autonomously in this community based position.
