Skilled Stone Benchtop Installer

About the Role:
This role will involve installing high-end stone projects for many of New Zealand’s most prestigious designers, joiners and builders. We are looking for someone with experience across all our products at a senior level, fitting in with an existing team of motivated, committed craftsmen. We need someone who can 'get the job done' while retaining an unwavering commitment to craftsmenship and detail.
Artisan Stone is also a market leader in health & safety including management of lifting methods and silica management. The successful applicant will be required to undergo baseline testing and scans within 6 months of commencement and scheduled regular ongoing checkups with the rest of the team in line with international best practice.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Installing bespoke projects
• Skilled fabrication, shaping & polishing
• Proficiency in the use of workshop equipment and consumable products
• Surfacing and repairs
To be successful for this role you will need to be competent in the following:
• Reading joinery/design plans
• Working with joinery and joiners
• Working with other trades on-site
• Experience in using stone polishers and grinders on-site
• Experience with marble, granite, engineered stone & porcelain
• Stone lifting and lift management
• Actively following Health & Safety requirements
• Taking a leadership role where working independently and also working collaboratively within a team
• Maintain a positive and adaptable approach
• Have strong English and communication skills
Experience templating (preferably digital) and stone restoration/resurfacing is advantageous but not essential.
