Based in Nelson, Richmond, this fast paced, challenging role will allow you to showcase your commercial construction management experience and further develop these skills on this $100m development. Reporting to the Commercial Site Manager you will be instrumental in the on-going construction of the multi-level main building featuring a swimming pool and a memory care wing.

Construction Supervisors must perform diverse tasks to ensure that construction projects are meeting deadlines and being completed in a safe and timely manner. It is vital that you have experience working in the construction industry, with experience in contractor management and NZ building code requirements. You will have a commitment to delivering quality whilst working in tight timeframes, strong communication skills and a high level of health and safety knowledge.

Skills required:

Using organisational skills to build successful teams for completion of project tasks
Understanding building codes, safety guidelines and regulations addressing construction projects
Supervising construction crews
Addressing safety and other worksite concerns and issues with Labourers and Foremen
Understanding how construction equipment works for inspection, operation and maintenance of this equipment
Advance knowledge of construction trades
