Singing Teacher

Details of the offer

We need someone with singing qualifications of Grade 7 or above who can deliver an age-appropriate programme to children, teenagers and adults. Preparation for exams is optional.
You need to be interested in people, have empathy and the ability to engage with people of all ages. The ability to accompany students on piano or guitar would be preferred but not essential. Our music school runs from the last week in January until mid-December, in line with the Primary School terms, so we are looking for someone to teach in 2020. There is no teaching during school holidays - hence a 40-week year. The hours of work will be after school weekdays or Saturdays, and are negotiated according to hours in which the teacher is available, and student enrollments.
We're presently located in West End and we'll be moving to Hokowhitu during the Christmas holidays.
At present there are 7 students needing a teacher, and other new students enrolling for 2020. If all goes well, this job will roll over to 2021 and beyond.
